Accommodations
At Ole Spain we do our best to build relationships with a great variety of hotels, hostels, rural houses and exclusive rental properties. We are constantly exploring all the hidden corners of our country to be sure we can offer you the accommodations you're looking for at the best rates.
Most of our partner hotels are located in the larger cities and towns of Spain.
These fine hotels are located in the main cities and along the coastline, but some can be found in the countryside as well. They range from the classic European style to the most contemporary. Many are members of international hotel chains as Kempinsky, Ritz-Carlton, Small Luxury or Leading Hotels of the World.
These mostly independent hotels are located in historical buildings in the heart of Spanish cities and towns. Many are in old monasteries, palaces, or noble residences that have been transformed into beautiful properties. They all offer comfort and personalized attention to their guests. Rooms are fully equipped (air conditioning/heating, private bathrooms, etc.) and most are registered as 3 or 4 star hotels, thought we prefer to call them Charming Hotels.
These 3 or 4 star hotels offer comfortable modern rooms with private bathrooms, and are centrally located in safe areas. They are often used by business people and are recently opened in modern buildings. This class of hotels are recommended for travelers that want clean, comfortable rooms, and would rather spend their travelling budget on good meals, shopping or shows.
During the 1970´s in Spain there was a great migration of people to the larger cities, leaving many small towns underpopulated. Over the last ten years, there has been a resurgence in these charming small towns, as Turismo Rural (Rural Tourism) has become very popular with Spaniards and visitors alike. Old country houses are rented for several days or weeks. All of these houses are fully equipped with kitchen, several bedrooms, bathrooms, etc., and are located nearby sport activities and areas of natural beauty.
We are currently creating a listing of these properties. In the meantime, let us know if you are interested, and we will share our great selection of houses all over Spain, specially in Northern Spain, the Pyrenees and the White Villages in Andalusia.
These rural houses are highly recommended for families or groups of friends and for self drive programs.
Over the last decade many families have decided to return to the countryside to transform their traditional farm houses (masias in Catalonia, caserios in the Basque Country, Cortijos and haciendas in Andalusia) into great inns with a limited number of rooms, located in the middle of beautiful scenic routes and natural reserves. These are great places to rest at the end of your trip before going home. We suggest you plan a stay of several nights to enjoy the many activities in these areas, such as hiking, horseback riding, bicycling and more.
We are currently working on this new site. Until it is ready we can offer upon request apartments and villas along the Mediterranean and its most popular coasts as Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz and Costa Brava. During high season these accomodations are mostly rented by the week.
