A relaxing stay at an authentic country estate house just a few short
hours from Madrid...El Rosal country estate is scarcely two hours from Madrid, direction Lisbon, in the province of Toledo and at the foothills of the Gredos Mountains. The country estate, which had as its principal activity cattle breeding, has two closely situated, independent houses. One was the principal house of the country estate, the other the guard house. Both have been extensively renovated and adapted to the necessities of receiving visitors by the estate´s owner, Jaime Quirón, who has devotedly and lovingly, transformed the houses, converting them into warm, familial environments, while maintaining their rustic, artesan furniture and decor. Access to the houses is via a 4 mile long road, which meanders through pine and oak woods, and across meadows with cattle. There is a swimming pool, a garden, and various porches with magnificent views of the Tietar Valley and Gredos Mountains. A total of 1,500 square yards of living space incorporates 7 double rooms with bath, an apartment, a restaurant with local cuisine, meeting room, billiard room, etc. In additon there are stables and local riding routes (some following tracks dating back to the Romans) ideal for one or more day excursions.
