 ANDALUSIAN SPAIN (Madrid-Córdoba-Seville-Granada)
Although today, Spain has some of the most modern and rapid trains, at times during this trip you will not be able to shake the feeling that you have stepped back in time. Without leaving Eastern Europe, you will come to know cities that seem to have been taken out of the Tales of a thousand and One Nights. In Cordoba, you will visit one of the largest and most ancient mosques, a true forest of exquisite columns and one of the highpoints of the architecture of the Moorish period of Spain. In Seville, you will be able to stroll narrow streets, clearly inherited from the Moorish period, and climb one of the loveliest minarets in existence. In Granada, you will walk through the sumptuous rooms of one of the most celebrated and best-conserved medieval Islamic palaces. And all this without leaving Spain, and only a few hours by train from Madrid, Spain´s active and modern capital.
Suggested Itinerary:
Day 1. Madrid
Arrival in Madrid. Meet and greet at the airport with your private driver and transfer to hotel of choice. In the afternoon you will be met by our guide at the hotel for a private City Walk Old Town of Madrid. Overnight stay in Madrid.
Day 2. Madrid-Toledo-Madrid
Breakfast. Full day excursion to Toledo with lunch by motor coach tour. Overnight stay in Madrid.
Day 3. Madrid-Córdoba-Seville
Breakfast. Early morning you will depart on your own to Atocha Train station to catch AVE (high velocity train) to Cordoba. Upon arrival, you will be met by a guide and join a small group to be taken by minibus to visit the Mezquita of Cordoba and the Jewish Quarter. After the visit and some free time, you will continue by AVE to Seville. Upon arrival in Seville, you will go on your own to your selected hotel. Overnight stay in Seville.
Day 4. Seville
Breakfast. You will meet your guide in the hotel for a private walking tour of Seville, which will include a visit to the Cathedral and the Reales Alcazares as well as the Santa Cruz Quarter. Afternoon free. Overnight stay in Seville.
Day 5. Seville-Granada
Early morning you will be met by your escort and bus for transfer to Granada by motor coach tour. Upon arrival, you will visit the Alhambra Palace (join a group visit). After the visit you will go on your own to your selected hotel in Granada. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Granada.
Day 6. Granada-Departure
Breakfast. End of services.
Extension to Madrid
Day 6. Granada- Madrid
Breakfast . Free morning in Granada. On your own you will go to Granada Train Station to take Talgo train to Madrid. Upon arrival, you will go on your own to your selected hotel. Overnight stay in Madrid.
Day 7. Madrid-Departure
Breakfast. You will be met by your private driver at the hotel for departure transfer to the Madrid airport. End of Services.
Extension to Barcelona
Day 6. Granada-Barcelona
Breakfast . On your own you will go to Granada Train Station to take Talgo train to Barcelona. Upon arrival, you will go on your own to your selected hotel. Overnight stay in Barcelona.
Day 7. Barcelona
Breakfast. You will be met with your English speaking driver for a private sightseeing tour of Barcelona.. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Barcelona.
Day 8. Barcelona-Departure
Breakfast. You will be met by your private driver at the hotel for departure transfer to the Barcelona airport. End of Services.
Extension to Costa del Sol
Day 6. Granada- Ronda-Costa del Sol
Breakfast . On your own you will go to Granada Train Station to take the Train to Ronda. Upon arrival, you will have free time on your own to explore Ronda before continuing by train to Malaga , the capital of the Costa del Sol. Upon arrival, you will go on your own to your selected hotel. Overnight stay in Costa del Sol.
Day 7. Costa del Sol at leisure
Breakfast. You will spend the full day on your own at the beach and relax before returning home. Overnight stay in Costa del Sol.
Day 8. Costa del Sol-Departure
Breakfast. You will be met by your private driver at the hotel for departure transfer to Malaga International airport. End of Services.
